Remember history and honor heroes
November 27, 1950 - Battle of Chosin Lake
In extremely harsh weather conditions (temperatures between minus 30 and 40 degrees Celsius), both armies suffered great difficulties and casualties. Despite the serious shortage of equipment and supplies, the volunteers still showed their tenacious will to fight and combat effectiveness. After more than 20 days of fierce fighting, the volunteers successfully separated and surrounded the US army, creating a record of wiping out an entire regiment of the US Army, and forcing the American ace force to experience the "longest retreat" in history.
The victory of the Battle of Changjin Lake not only recovered the vast eastern areas north of the 38th parallel, but also reversed the battlefield situation and became the inflection point of the Korean War. The battle laid the foundation for the eventual armistice negotiations and greatly enhanced the international prestige of the new China.
In general, the Battle of Chosin Lake was an important battle in the War of resisting the United States and aiding Korea, known for its severity and strategic significance, and became an important milestone in the modern history of China.
Please remember that December 24th is the victory day of the Battle of Chosin Lake!
150,000 heroes rest in peace, not to seek its face, but by its grace, bow down to the martyrs, salute the hero!
